Constantinos (Konstantinos) G. Tsiafoulis is a chemist and holds a PhD in Chemistry. He obtained his BSc, Diploma in Chemistry, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and his PhD , Doctor of Philosophy, from the Department of Chemistry, University of Ioannina, Greece. He is a Laboratory Teaching Personnel , Grade A in Research Supporting Network, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Centre, Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry, Dept. of Chemistry, University of Ioannina, Ioannina, Greece and a Collaborative Educational Personnel at the Hellenic Open University, Patras, Greece. He has 33 publications in international peer reviewed journals and has been a reviewer at more than 20 International journals. He has >1100 citations and a H-index of 17. His work on “Nuclear magnetic resonance analysis of extra virgin olive oil: classification through secoiridoids” (https://doi.org/10.1002/jsfa.13139) has been ranked within the 10% most-viewed papers published by the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture for 2023.
He served and serves as Topic Advisory Board member for journal “Molecules” and as a Special Issue guest editor in the MDPI journals “Molecules” and “Separations”. Moreover, as a topic editor in MPDI (participated and participating journals “Molecules”, “Beverages”, “Foods”, “Nutrients”, “Separations”, “Chemosensors”).
His current research interests include the development of analytical methodologies and metabolomic analysis of biological samples, plant extracts and foods using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopic techniques and methods. He has and had also worked on bioanalytical methods and electroanalytical techniques as long as on biosensor development.
