Zoi Terzopoulou is a Chemist and currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Laboratory of Industrial Chemistry of University of Ioannina, Greece, with specialization in Polymer Chemistry ant Technology. She holds an MSc and a PhD in Polymer Chemistry and Technology. Her research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of biobased polyesters, copolymers and blends, polymer composites and nanocomposites, hybrid polymer-inorganic biomaterials, and polymeric scaffolds for tissue engineering. She has authored more than 100 scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals, with over 4,000 citations and an h-index of 37 (Scopus). She has actively participated in more than 30 national and international scientific conferences, receiving two Best Poster Presentation Awards and one Best Oral Presentation Award. Prof. Terzopoulou has been involved in numerous national and EU-funded research projects since 2014, both as a researcher and project manager. She was awarded the Excellence Scholarship for PhD candidates by the Research Committee of AUTH in 2016 and received a postdoctoral scholarship from the Greek Foundation of Scholarships (IKY) in 2020 for research on biobased polyesters at the University of Ioannina. She has been included in the single-year “Top 2% of most-cited scientists” worldwide since 2022, according to the standardized citation indicators list compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier. Finally, she is a member of the editorial boards of the Journals Polymers and Materials Letters: X.
